In 2015, Barefoot Campus Outfitter opened its Ames location, becoming Store #10 in the growing Barefoot family. It marked an exciting milestone for the company—not only because it was our tenth store, but because it represented our first step into one of the most passionate college communities in the Midwest.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Iowa State University was something special.
Ames may be known for its welcoming community, beautiful campus, and Midwestern charm, but what truly stands out is the pride people have for Iowa State. Whether you're a student attending your first football game, an alum returning for Homecoming, or a lifelong fan wearing cardinal and gold, there's a deep connection that brings Cyclones together.
That's what drew us to Ames.
