It's one of the best times of the year to be in San Marcos! Texas State University Homecoming brings students, alumni, families, and longtime Bobcat fans together for a week of celebrating everything that makes Texas State special.
From campus traditions and Homecoming festivities to a weekend full of maroon and gold, there's plenty to look forward to.

Homecoming Traditions Take Over San Marcos
Homecoming is all about bringing Bobcats together, and Texas State has a full lineup of celebrations leading up to the big game.
One of the biggest traditions is the Homecoming Spirit Parade on Saturday, October 24, from 9–11 AM. Expect the Bobcat Marching Band, Strutters, cheerleaders, student organizations, and plenty of maroon and gold throughout San Marcos.
Friday, October 23, also brings the Texas State Legends Gala, celebrating distinguished alumni and their accomplishments.
Texas State vs. Utah State: The Homecoming Game
The biggest event of the weekend happens Saturday, October 24, when Texas State takes on Utah State at 6:30 PM at UFCU Stadium.
With alumni returning to San Marcos, students filling the stands, and Bobcat fans coming together for Homecoming, it's going to be a big night for Texas State football.
Start the afternoon with friends at the tailgate, make your way to UFCU Stadium, and get ready to cheer on the Bobcats from kickoff to the final whistle.
The Texas State Alumni Association will also host its Homecoming Alumni Tailgate at Boko's Backyard from 3:30–6 PM, giving returning Bobcats another chance to reconnect before the game.
